Mark's Story
Life
Civil Engineer in private practice for over 38 years in San Diego, California.
In our spare time, my wife and I travel around the world with close friends to various destinations, including many African countries as one of our favorite continents to go to for new experiences.
Recent adventures have included tiger tracking in India (2011), shark cage diving in South Africa (2009), and leopard tracking (2007,2009). Our 2013 vacatio...Expand for more
n to Africa included two weeks in Tanzania where we took part in an elephant relocation program. In addition, with our friends from Chicago, we were part of a presentation from the International 4H program to a local village and toured how the children raise livestock and farm the land.
We were at the beginning of the Great Migration. Saw several kills and had close encounters with very aggressive elephants. They get the right-of-way.
