Mark's Story

Life Well it's no secret to those who know me that I spent my entire life chasing what seemed to be an unreachable goal. That goal was national recognition in the music business. Last year I obtained that goal. In early 2005 I was signed to a recording contract by indi label Lito Records. Lito has offices in Nashville, TN and Norristown, PA. We spent some time recording my first national release "Honky Tonk Hero". In the aftermath great things happened. We were picked up as a supporting act for the "Outlaws" and accompanied them on the east coast leg ogf their reunion tour. The Outlaws feature Grammy and CMA award winning songwriter Henry Paul of the country band "Blackhawk" as well as original members Hughie Thomason and Monty Yoho. They acclaimed fame with their counry rock hits "There Goes Another Love Song" and "Green Grass and High Tides Forever" as well as several others. In the process my album charted in the top ten on the international country music charts in over 30 countries and began to receive airplay on small market US radio. To follow the radio success it was picked up for national distribution by Baker and Taylor and Alliance Entertainment, heavey weights in the music and literature distribution business. The album was placed for sale in Kmarts this side of the Mississippi river as...Expand for more
well as select Wal Marts. It became available for sale on the internet at Amazon.com, TowerRecords.com, CDBaby.com and for internet down loads at Apple I Tunes and other internet download sites. The year and tour were a fun filled, exhausting adventure ending early this year at a Mardis Gras Festival in Kingsland, Georgia. Myself and the band had a great time, met thousands of people, signed thousands of autographs, did many radio interviews, filmed two music videos, and got one hell of an education. We had the honor of performing on such stages as the House of Blues in Atlantic City, The Keswick Theater in Glenside, PA, BB Kings in NYC, and The Free Bird Cafe in Jacksonville, FL where we met Judy Van Zandt Williams, widow of Ronnie Van Zandt of Lynyrd Skynyrd, and owner of the Free Bird. During my travels I was accepted as a voting member of the Country Music Association and a member of the Nashville Songwriters Association. As if all of that wasn't enough, my album received a 1st round Grammy Nomination for Country Album of the year. What a ride. Anyway, myself and the band are back home and looking forward to the future. After a six month break we are ready to get back in the saddle and are in the process of scheduling a north east club tour. Hope to see everyone somewhere along the way! Mark
