Mark's Story

First got married when I was 40. I have two kids, boy 14 and girl 10. I originally was a civil engineer but when the interest rates got to 21% the jobs dried up and I went into computers. I have been programming for 23 years. I moved to Los Angeles in the summer of 1979 after 27 inches of snow fell in 2 days in January. My mother suddenly died in 2007 and my dad in 2008. I try to get to Chicago every few years. I met Neal Goldstein on a plane from Eugene to San Francisco 5 years ago. I actually sat next to hin and after looking at him for 10 minutes asked him if he went to Niles North. I actually ...Expand for more
sat next to him for 4 years in homeroom when we were in high school. I attended the 10 year reunion but didn't know about the 20 or 30 year reunion. I am looking forward to the 40 year one in 2010. It is still hard to believe it has been 40 years since I graduated high school. I haven't really kept in contact with anyone from high school. I probably wouldn't recognize anyone even if I was standing next to them. It is sort of a shame that when I look through the list of people I graduated with I only recognize just a few names. I should probably find my yearbook and look through the pictures again.
