Mark's Story
Life
I have been married for 29 years to Heidi Gagel and have two great kids Jessica who is finishing a P.H.D at A & M and working for the large animal clinic to save newborn horses from a type of pnuemonia which is always fatal. Blake who is 25 is back in town from A & M Corpus and is working in the O.R. in Anesthiology at the downtown Baptist. He (actually his better half) is soon to give us our first Grandchild in 4 months and it is a boy.
I am active with the city of S.A. for 11 years straight With Electrical Supervisory Board and Development Services. Then I run to Helotes and sit on the Architechtural Review Board. The Board controls all commercial construction and sets policy for Light Ordinance, Signs Ordinance, Landscape Ordinance. Then I go out to our property that we bought and built a house on 5 years ago> I have a Golden Retreiver,4 or 5 cats depending on the week and a lot of Deer that I feed and take care of with a few wild hogs and two grey fox.
Military
U.S. Army combat medic 2 November 75 through 2 March 79. Spent another year at Ft. Sam Houston for Physicians Assisstant training and spent last two years at Ft. Leonard Wood Hospital in Acute Minor Illness Clinic and E.R. Recieved Honorable Discharge in 2 march 82.
I have found these to be some of the best times in my life as well as worst.
All that I did does not matter. The classmates.com wants a story but stories are in books and movies for all to see.
Suffice it to say I am proud of my service and will continue too at any time my Country request!! (Unless for some reason I cannot physically)
