Mark's Story
Life
July 2009 - back from Afghanistan and glad to be home. Still working on the MRAP project but from stateside so I can sip an adult beverage from time to time. Second granddaughter arrived in January - life is very good.
July 2008: Came to Afghanistan in early 2008 to help bring in MRAP trucks that protect troops from Taliban bombs. One last run with the dogs - thanks to my very patient wife.
Was in the Army till I retired in 1995. Now live in a little town...Expand for more
in Illinois with my bride of 31 years. We've got three daughters and a beautiful granddaughter. Still trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up. Am trying to fight the battles against aging but recognize it to be a losing struggle. Have decided that getting older is preferable to the alternative and finally realized that the flowers look prettiest from above.
I remember Kings Park fondly. Hope the years have been good to anyone who looks at this.
