Mark's Story
Okay, here goes, my life since high school.
After graduation, I joined the army. Was discharged in 1971. Started college at Central State and graduated with a double major and a double minor. Found and married my first wife Barbara in 1972, and we have 3 wonderful daughters, and eight grandchildren. Went to medical school in Tulsa and did family practice for many years. Started emergency medicine in 1996, allowed me much more time to spend with family. Cancer took Barbara from me in 2002. Was devastated. Was nearly suicidal, until I prayed to God, to send me a help mate. Someone to get me through that hard time. God sent me Wendy. She is my gift from God, and truly the love of my life. God loved me so much he even gave us a baby girl, Lylah,...Expand for more
who turns four in March (2018). Wendy and Lylah have taught me how to love. I was too busy and selfish when I was younger, being a doctor was my life and family was secondary. I am truly thankful to God for allowing me to see what is truly important.
We live in rural Mississippi on a small acreage, with four dogs, five cats, chickens and goats. If you have ever raised goats you know that goats, a lawn chair and a six pack , and you have quality entertainment!
Still working as an ER doc. Plan to work until I'm 75 or so, drop dead and call that retirement!
God has blessed me. Don't know why, because I am not deserving of the many gifts He has given me, but am so thankful. God is great and life is good.
