I guess I've been a little busy since graduation.
I've been fortunate to have the opportunity to be employed at the home office of Northwestern Mutual from January 1979 to 2016. I started in security and retired as a consultant in the Investment Products & Services Dept., fulfilling various compliance and regulatory responsibilities involving annuities and retail investment products. Retirement lasted about 2 months before returning to the work force as an Anti-Money Laundering Investigator with various employers including FIS in Brown Deer supporting an engagement with Malaga Bank and Goldman Sachs, Potawatomi Casino in Milwaukee, BMO Harris Bank in Brookfield and currently (2023) Guidehouse Managed Services supporting a remote Wells Fargo Bank engagement.
I also served in the Wisconsin Air National Guard for several years as a...Expand for more
crewchief on a KC-135 Air Refueling Tanker and had the opportunity to travel to various military bases around the US and other countries. After a short break from military service, I re-enlisted with an Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron at the former Air Force Reserve base at OHARE IAP and had the opportunity to train/work/fly on C-130's with a great group of medical technicians and nurses.
Driving down to Chicago several times a month eventually got old and I transferred to a medical squadron at the former Air Force Reserve base at GMIAP in Milwaukee. The last several years before I retired from military service, I served as the NCOIC of the AFRES 440th Medical Squadron's Immunization Clinic. Became quite talented with administering various vaccinations and adopted the motto "it is much better to give than receive" :-) .
I also took time out to get married, raise two daughters and currently live in Richfield WI with my wife and Weimaraner.
Hobbies currently involve a limited amount of deer and bird hunting, trolling Lake Michigan for trout and salmon, and smoking meat and fish on a Grilla Silverbac. Relaxing in the hot tub with a cold beverage is also at the top of my list. I used to enjoy slalom waterskiing and downhill skiing but these days my joints don't cooperate the way they once did.
