Mark's Story
After retiring from the Navy, I am now living near Atlanta, Georgia. I am still in 'service' but not doing the military thing.
I am on my second marriage (we all make mistakes) and together, we have 7 children ages 23-17. The story of how we got together is one straight out of the soap operas.
Our kids are starting to get married and produce grandchildren now (2) and we are looking forward to spending time with them.
After having lived in the city and suburbs...Expand for more
all of my life, I am now experiencing what life is like in the sticks. The banjos are 'dueling' every time I walk outside. It's a change that took some getting used to with things like wells, and septic, and wild critters digging, hunting, and prowling only a few feet from the house, but it is relaxing in the end.
Three of my 5 sons have served or are serving in the military so the tradition is being passed and I feel now I can truly say, 'they have the watch.'
