Mark's Story
After high school graduation I attended Central College in Pella, IA with a double major in Bible/Religion and German. I spent 1973-1974 studying at the University of Vienna, in Austria. After college graduation in May 1975, I married my college sweetheart and moved to Dubuque, IA where I began my studies at Dubuque Theological Seminary. through McCormick Theological Seminary, Chicago, IL, completing it in 1986. I have served congregations in Sioux City, IA, East Moline, IL, LaVista, NE and now in Hutchinson, KS. In November 2008 Sue was diagnosed with breast cancer and died in April 2012. We had 37 great years of marriage and raised two wonder children. One lives in Omaha, NE and the other in Miami, FL. Both are married, have families and are successful in their careers.
