Mark's Story
Like most, as I write this, it appears my life has been a whirlwind. After my discharge from the U.S. Army in 1973, I was employed by the Lehan Family and Weld County Lumber as store manager. Luck was with me when True Value Corporate picked me up in 1975 as a retail consultant traveling KS., NE., CO, WY., NM. Pioneered AZ. & CA. for True Value and that is how I ended up in Az. Keeping in the scope of things, I took on International Consulting for Mexico, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean. Exhausted, I retired after 25 years in 2000 only to start my second career in real estate. me of Judy, my support system convinced me to stay home and buy a ring. I did. That was in 2011. A fool for punishment, I consulted for a chain of Ace stores in the Phoenix Metro Area. I was home every night now. If it was not for covid-19, I still would be exhausting myself. I officially retired in March 2020. It's been a real journey that I would not change....maybe one thing. I would not disregard my support system. That I would certainly change if I could. I have been reinforced with 2 boys who are grown men following in their fathers' footsteps. Between the 2, they have blessed me with 7 grandkids. 4 boys and 3 girls. They could have not done it without 2 beautiful daughters-in-law, Ally and Jennifer. Love them both. That's it.... in a large nutshell.
