Mark's Story
Gosh, from High School I went to a few colleges, Yuba (AA), Idaho, SF State, Sac State (BA). Then I joined the Air Force. Once there I produced a film series called Air Force Now. One of my favorite moments was directing the halftime show of Super Bowl IXX (19). It was rough but I assigned myself to the 49er sideline. I also was fortunate enough to go through Europe and the far east. Korea has a few strange and scary moments - the PI was just strange but fun for a single guy. Got to play with the Marines in Urgent Fury (Granada) but didn't like that too much as only the Air Force film crew and the Cubans were in plain green fatuques and the marines were shooting at them.
My best assignment was to Wright Patterson AFB in Ohio. By that time I was a Captain and reached that point where I needed to figure out if the AF was a career or...Expand for more
not. I met this great gal who couldn't run very fast, so I was able to tackle her and marry her. We've now been married 20 years. We've got three wonderful kids, the oldest is in High School. I was talking to one of his teachers yesterday and it turns out I graduated from High School about 2 years before he was born. Gee, if that doesn't make you feel old.
After the Air Force we moved back to Marysville/Yuba City for about 3 or 4 years. At one point I was a Sub teacher and a coach (football, woman's basketball, and track) at Lindhurst.
Now I'm the IT director for the City of Fairborn in Ohio. I still get to make TV shows from time to time, but mostly I now just get others to make them for me. I also get to play with the neatest gadgets around, and better yet also get to have people work for me that can fix them when I break them.
