Mark's Story
After graduation from St. Mary's High School in 1980, Mark O'Renick pursued a fabulous career as a professional ice skater. The highlight of his career was the invention of the now internationally-famous figure skating move the klutz which he unleashed on the world during an Olympic pre-qualifier in Tacoma, Washington. He later perfected the move, adding four rotations to the single klutz (before falling down) in what is now known ...Expand for more
as the 'quintuple klutz'. A candidate for the World Figure Skating Hall of Fame, O'Renick has retired from competitive figure skating - devoting his time to his feline breeding and training center in Boise, Idaho. As of the date of this writing (January 2009) he is in contract talks with a major resort complex in Las Vegas, NV to bring 'Cats on Ice' to stage - featuring skating domestic cats from his breading and training center.
