Mark's Story
Life
Joined the Navy after high school and have been bouncing around the USA ever since. Finally retired in 2003 after 23 years; currently working as a gov't contractor in SoCal. After I retired, my wife and I settled in Rhode Island. Then a couple of years ago we relocated to SoCal to be near family.
For those of you that remember me, you know I married my high school sweet-heart. Sadly, we divorced after 8 years.
I remarried in 1992, instant family with 3 step-children (ages 10,12 & 14). It was the best decision I ever made. Being a part of this family is the most fulfilling part of my life. And it just kee...Expand for more

My professional life is probably like everyone elses; commute, job stress, feed the morgage, etc. The personal life has become all about the family. I never thought I could get so wrapped up in it or that life could be so clearly brought into perspective with just a hug from my grand-daughter. It was her birth that really made up our minds regarding moving back to CA. Oddly enough, around the time we were discussing whether or not to move, I got a fortune cookie in a Chinese restraunt that said, "Forget the stock market, invest in family". A good piece of advice...
