Mark's Story

Hmm. Nearly forty years in a few short sentences. Here we go... Most of the time living in the foothills of western Maine. Worked as carpenter and cabinetmaker for quite a while. Then went to college, completed a degree in math and computer science at age 36. A career in IT in the paper industry, retired at age 54. Two children, two grandchildren. Even so, never enough time to pursue the things I truly love; hunting, fishing, hiking, sailing, skiing. Skiing and sailing are like flying. Hunting and fishing are like praying...Expand for more
.I don't mean for success. That's just a bonus.More like meditation. If things go as planned, skiing may diminish, when we take our sailboat to the Bahamas, and following that, the Caribbean, this year or in 2010. At that point, we would live on the boat from January through April, then return to the western mountains of Maine that we love, staying there each year till just after Christmas, then back to the sailboat in the tropics. Big plans, big hopes. We work the plan every day. Would love to see old friends sometime.
