Mark's Story
In 1979 I wint to SIU Carbondale and was there for 2 years and ran out of money. In 1983 I got a job managing several Jakes Pizza's one in Northbrook and then the one in Hoffman Estates. In 1984 went back to school at Harper for a year, ran out of money again. In 1985 my parents and I opened our own Jakes Pizza In Buffalo Grove. In 1987 I got married to Wendy Deau an alumni of Arlington High School. We owned the store until the death of my Father in 1989 at which time mom and I sold the store. In 1989 I took a Job at a company called J.W.Allen & Company which manufactured products for bakeries. 1990 saw the birth of my son James and the purchase of our house. b managing Carson Perie Scott's dock, and a third job delivering Pizza on the weekends. I quit Carsons in 1999. In 2000 J.W.Allen was purchased by Rich Products Corporation (Coffee Rich) and I became our UPS leadperson, in charge of shipping our finnished goods and smaller shipments. In 2001 we started MRP and SAP training and I became our inventory reconciler. 2003 saw us switching to FedEx and my responsibilities grew to include production entry in SAP, inventory control and safety committee. In 2004 I became one of my company's Super Users for the SAP inventory system. In 2007 my son and I went on a Florida trip with the Fremd marching band which played at the Gator Bowl, I was one of 13 chaperone for 110 kids.
