Life After graduation from McClymonds, I got married and started a family with two wonderful children. I landed a position as an architectural draftsman for Kaiser Center, Inc. in Oakland. I took architecture classes at night at Laney Jr. College for several years and after a subsequent failed marriage; I decided I could attempt to finish my formal education. I was admitted to the California College of Arts architecture program. It was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. CCA is a private academic institution and is nationally recognized as a leading art and design college in the country. I graduated with honors and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Environmental Design in 1980. For the next 16 years, I was involved in the design, planning and construction of hospitals and medical offices in San Francisco, Richmond and Oakland.
