Mark's Story
Life
The bad thing about being a armed services brat, is having to go to [what seemed like] forty different schools. The good thing about it is I can justify DSL to maintain all my Classmates connections.
Detesting, as I did, the relentless packing and unpacking; the hopeful 'hellos' and tearful goodbyes; the constantly changing curriculum requirements; etc., I did the logical thing after graduating from Castle Park: joined the Navy.
You know the old saying, 'I'd never do it again, but I wouldn't take a million $ for the experience'? Well, make that a thousand. Fact is, I was way to immature for service life.
An A.A. degree in communications followed -- that put to good use by several employers, including Tacoma Boatbuilding, Lockheed Shipbuilding, and, so far, Boeing ...Expand for more

Married the lovely and talented Jill Taff of Seattle, who has graced me with 31 years of patience, humor, support; and a daughter, Caitlin, the pride of our marriage.
We love boating, sportscar racing, our dogs, a mutually-shared skepticism of most-things-Liberal, and Mariner baseball.
My favorite teachers were: Mrs. Stegeman at Vista Square elementary, Mr. Carlson (P.E.) and Miss Wiseman (German) at Chief Sealth high, Mr. Wallace (Am. history) and Mr. ? (ancient history) at Castle Park, and all the English teachers I ever had (you know who you are).
As for lost friends... Gloria Wood, Steve Ash, Jimmy Box, John Buckmaster, John Schneider, Jim Anderson, Denny Johnston, Bruce Kinnamon, Larry Williams, Freddy Medrano, and Ray Carvalho... where are you?
