Mark's Story
I am a retired Air Force NCO and have lived much of my life in foreign lands and meeting people from a wide variety of cultures. I am looking for a location to settle down in. I plan to use that home as a jumping off point to travel much of each year. In the mean time I have two teenage daughters, one still to see through High School so, much, but not all of my time will be spent in that. However, I do like to grab a weekend now and then to get away by myself or with adult company.
I was brought up in a very strictly structured religious environment (my father was also a career military NCO) but have spent the last couple of decades "reformulating" myself. I am comfortable with people of all beliefs/persuasions but have a difficult time with intoleranc...Expand for more
e. "My way or the highway" types are basically weak at the core and just do not impress me. The most enjoyable people for me are those whose lives are directed by passion for new ideas and new discovery.
I spent over thirty years with a woman whom I loved dearly but would honestly have to classify as "high maintenance". Supporting her through ten years of declining health as she departed this world was a challenging and illuminating experience. I look for opportunities where I can just let loose and have fun with like minded friends.
I am close enough to retirement to start making serious plans. Just don't want to be any older, health wise, when I get there. I plan to see a lot of the world (the US included) and would like some company along the way.
