Mark's Story

Life Mark W. Tatge is bureau chief of Forbes’ Magazine’s Midwest Bureau. Prior to joining Forbes, Tatge was a staff reporter for the Wall Street Journal, an investigative reporter in the Cleveland Plain Dealer’s statehouse bureau, and a staff writer for both the Dallas Morning News and The Denver Post. He has written extensively about corporate misdeeds, starting with his coverage of the savings and loan scandal in Colorado during the 1980s. a weekly newspaper in rural Wisconsin, winning awards for editorial excellence. He is a past Kiplinger Fellow in Public Affairs Reporting at Ohio State University where he completed his masters degree in journalism. He holds a bachelors degree from Western Illinois University and has completed two years of coursework towards his MBA. He is an adjunct professor at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism and frequent commentator on CNBC, CNN-fn, FOX and local talk radio stations.
