Mark's Story
After graduating high school I bounced around a lot. I tried some different schools and jobs, but nothing really excited me. I had started playing guitar in 1979 and was in several bands, and by the mid-eighties had become quite good but couldn't make a living at it and was tired of bouncing around from one job to another, and from one band to another, so I decided to go back to school. I met my future and current wife Denise in 1989, got married in 1993, and graduated cum laude from UMass Lowell in 1994, with a Bachelor of Music in Performance and Sound Recording Technology.
Before I knew it, I was building recording studios for Aerosmith, and wanted more of the music business. Denise and I moved to New Jersey in 1995 and I started working at the famous Electric Lady Studios (Jimi Hendrix's studio in the West Village of NYC) as an audio technician. I fell in love with it, and have been doing it ever since.

ave also worked at Sony Music Studios and Howard Schwartz Recording as an audio and video technician, and over the last ten plus years have worked with and met quite a few recording artists, bands, producers, engineers, actors, actresses, models and media personalities.
I had always been freelancing in Manhattan and developing contacts and getting a lot of experience not only in recording studios, but in home theater and home entertainment systems as well. In 2005, I went independent and formed Torre Audio LLC(torreaudio.com.) Torre Audio is a full-service residential and commercial audio and video installation company in the New York City/New Jersey metro area specializing in professional recording studio installations and audio/video systems for residential, commercial, and corporate use.
