Mark's Story
I graduated from SMSU in '83 and got married the next summer. We're still married and have two daughters ages 22 and 20. My wife was from Kansas City. We met at SMSU.
I went to work for the IRS in 1987 as a Revenue Officer in Kansas City. I went into IRS management in 1999. I'm still with the IRS as the Governmental Liaison working with state and municipal taxing agencies and congressional offices in Missouri and Oklahoma.

cer. I went through surgery and chemotherapy and it looks like I'm one of the lucky ones who beat cancer. The jury is still out on the issue, but as of now, I appear to be a survivor.
My wife is the Assistant Superintendent at the Missouri School for the Blind. We live in the St. Louis area.
I'm about as exciting as cottage cheese. When not working, I spend time with the family, keep up with the Kansas City Chiefs and the St. Louis Cardinals, or go fishing.
