Mark's Story
College
I began taking fire science classes at Palm Beach Community College in 1985 along with my paramedic classes. After a few years, I decided to put them together and work on an A.S. degree in Fire Science. I completed it in 2000 and completed a second A.S. degree in Emergency Medical Service Technology in 2001. At Palm Beach Atlantic University, I earned a B.S. in Organizational Management and graduated in 2004.

, I went to work at West Palm Beach Fire Dept. I worked there for almost 3 years before going to work at Palm Beach County Fire-Rescue. I've been there since 1985. I am a lieutenant assigned to Engine 28 in Royal Palm Beach. I also work as a flight paramedic for National Jets Air Ambulance in Ft. Lauderdale. We travel around the world transporting the sick and injured. I love both of these jobs. I plan to retire in 2010 and move to the mountains of Blairsville, GA.
