Mark's Story
Life in retirement has been good overall. There always seems to be more "stuff" to do than there is time to do it--just the way I like it. Cindy (Nemec) and I have been married a good many years now and, when we can get away with it, we enjoy just settling into the rhythms of life together. Relaxing while watching our favorite shows on TV is a favorite way to spend time together. Being as active as our bodies grudgingly allow is also important to us. for hiking and biking. Our grandchildren, our dog, working out regularly, Asian cuisine, wine (rarely of the "fine" quality), cocktails (I make a wicked Mai Tai), and cross country road trips are things that make life just that much more enjoyable for us.

My life's most important epiphany:
The more I stop trying to be in control of my life, the happier I am.
