Mark's Story
Life happens! Joined the US Air Force after high school and during my eight years of active duty, got married, had a son, got divorced, then got married again, stationed in the states the whole time. My last duty station was in the San Antonio, Texas area and after receiving an honorable discharge, made my way to USAA for a career in insurance and financial services. I have three great kids from my 2nd marriage, mostly grown, and I've been separated for almost two years.
I lost my sister to cancer in 1985 and my dad in 2006. My mom's now 92 and living down here in Texas in a nursing home, so I can spend time ...Expand for more
with her in her twilight years. My youngest daughter has been sick for almost two years with Endometriosis and some type of auto-immune disease, she's been unable to go to school since middle of freshman year and we are seeing specialists across the country to try to get her well. My son's going off to college in California and my oldest daughter is living and working in the Tampa Bay area.
I've already begun acting on my bucket list, which is mostly road/off-road trips to experience the great American outdoors. So far, just camping on the beach and a week in Big Bend, but after all, I'm just getting started.
