Mark's Story
I live in Marion with my wife, Kim, formerly Kim Shields (class of 72). We have two grown children, Brett and Breann who both got married in 2008 - it was a heck of a year.
I have been in the telecommunications industry forever and own Telecom Services of Iowa, a provider of business telephone systems.
Kim and I have lived in Cedar Rapids for most of our 30 years together - with the exception of two years ...Expand for more
in the Denver area, and seven years in Des Moines.
I spent three years in the US Army as an MP, serving two of those years in Hawaii (tough duty); four years in College as a long-haired hippie freak (from what I remember anyway); graduating from Mt. Mercy College.
Kim is the Director of the Five Seasons Day Care Centers and Step-Up Coordinator for the Cedar Rapids School. I think I have her title right.
