Marsha's Story
I've thought about posting something here for awhile now and just kind of kept putting it off. What can I say, my picture pretty much says it all. I'm transgendered, always have been. Who knows when I might update this profile again so for those that want to know, the picture was taken in Las Vegas during September 2009, shortly before my 51st birthday. In October 2008 I began living my life as Marsha instead of Mark. I couldn't be happier. I still live with my wife of 31 years and have the support of our 4 kids whose ages range from 18-30. I consider myself very fortunate to have my family, friends, church and business.
I don't expect to return to Seattle anytime soon, but you never know. I live on the east coast in Georgia, just about as far away from Seattle as you can get. It is not that I don't want to go back to Seattle, ...Expand for more
just that I have few remaining ties to the area.
I basically gave up snow skiing in Washington for jetskiing on the ocean here in Georgia. Probably the biggest difference I have noticed between Seattle and here is the pace of life is a little slower here. Traffic is seldom a problem and you actually have time to do do stuff around here.
My wife and I have raised 4 great kids. Our youngest will graduate high school in June 2010 and has already enlisted in the Marines. So I guess you can say we made it. My circumstances have obviously changed things but my relationship with my wife has only grown stronger. We probably spend more time and do more things together now than we had in years.
My favorite music now is the new contemporary country music. And with that I will finish off saying I'm looking forward to the next 50 years.
