Mark's Story
After graduating, I decided going straight into college was not what I wanted to do, so I entered the workforce. In October 1981, I married Tracey Rhodes, and she has been at my side ever since. (She says she's always a step ahead of me.) We lived about a half mile from each other in Corinth. I joined the Air Force in December '81, and retired from the Air Force in August '02. We have a daughter, Stephanie, 22, lives in Florence, has my only grandchild, Jacob, 2. Our son, Payton, 19, lives in Florence. We stayed in Alaska for four years after I retired so both our kids could enjoy and graduate high school with their friends they started with. enjoyed every minute of the 10 years we lived in Anchorage. Tracey and I drove the ALCAN pulling our 27' camper trailer, and had a blast. It took us nine days of driving. While in Alaska, I went to college part time, earned my degree in networking, and received a Microsoft certification. I'm currently a software support specialist/computer tech at an ophthalmic company in Cincinnati, OH. We live in Florence, KY which is about 40 miles from where I grew up. Close to most of my family. I've done a lot of traveling, some good, some not so good. I attended the 30 year reunion last year and glad I did. It was my first one! I am enjoying life, and look forward to hearing from some old friends and acquaintances.
