Mark's Story
Life
This is Mark "Tex" Thompson from the Class of 1980. I graduated from Indiana State University with a journalism degree, while interviewing Sammy Hagar, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan and Bobby Knight's chair during my college career. Between now and then, I've tourned most of Texas working for a series of small town newspapers, covering news, weather and sports for anybody who give me enough money to pay the bills. Finally got a better job with the Fort Worth Star-Telegram a few years ago, but really didn't enjoy writing about car crashes and murders. News (quarterhorsenews.com) in January of 2004. I live and work in Fort Worth, Texas, but also travel quite a bit. Visited 12 states last year and I'll visit Ogden, Utah and Reno, Nev. in May. I do plan to attend the reunion. I'm not married, but I did try it once. Actually made it through 5 1/2 years. No kids. I do have nieces and nephews. It's a pretty good deal to enjoy playing with kids and then turn them in at the end of the day.

I am proud of where I came from and I'm glad to have gone through the old days with you. I hope all is well, wherever you are.
