Marla's Story
Life
Well here I am living in Utah. Who would have ever thought I would leave Carbondale. BUt my Mother was Originally from this area and moved out here when my Dad got sick before he died. He died a short time after their move. So I packed my family and moved to help my Mother. I planned to move back when all was settled. Then all of my four children 3 boys and a girl, met mates in Utah. They married and now I have 10 lovely Grandchildren. And of course any of you that have those you don't go far away from them. I went to school and finished my education, after the kids were raised. Since Roger Hall my husband was a truck driver, I took diesel Mechanic classes ( we owned our own Truck) Then took welding classes. I worked out here in a welding shop for 12 years. I built belt Line for the coal mine and ran a Huge break press and bent roof Mats for the mine. I had a beam fall on me injuring my back and breaking my foot. I walk a Little slow and the cold hurts some , but I'm ok other wise. Oh yeah I don't wear high heel any more. Ha Ha!!Pretty much I am just glad to get up another d...Expand for more
ay and do things with the grand kids. They range in age from 15 to 3. With 3 girl first, then 6 boys and a little girl last,But not least. One boy is in football and trying his hand at Quarterback. Of course Granny don't miss a game. I like to fish. Of course growing up on the Crystal you could guess that. I don't hunt much anymore, but still like to take short walks. I read, spend some time on line, Miss a lot of you people. I wonder how you are and what direction your life has gone.Looking back on the things we did as kids. Some fun, some childish, some of poor choise, but all that made us into what we are today. I enjoyed my time with you, wish I could see you all. I look at Class mates and read your names and it gives me a warm feeling. I hope your all well and safe. I would answer any letter you wrote me also. If you want to know more about me, ask. Before moving here I lived in Glenwood Springs, Rifle, Grand Junction and Loma. As of August 15th my darling little Grandson has a brain tumor Medullablastoma, Please Pray for us. Thank You so much!
