Marlane's Story
Life
Well it has been 40 years! Life has been great and not so great. I have been married to my husband Al for 38 years as of this October. We have one son Scott who is 31 and UNR Grad. Three years ago I retired from my job as a Controller for a large Reno, NV Manufacturer and we relocated from a very rural area of Northeastern CA to Klamath Falls, OR. we love our life as retireees.
I am happy to say that I am a Breast Cancer SURVIVOR! I have been cancer free for 8 years and counting, YEAH! Now if I just had some Grandchildren, life would be perfect. Retirement has afforded me the luxury of travel. We pack up the motorhome and off We go to undetermined destinations, without any plan ...Expand for more
and just go with the flow to where ever the road and the mood takes us, for however long we feel like being away. It is amazing the great people you meet along the way. We do go to Las Vegas several times a year as our Son lives there.
It is great to have time to do all those things that you think one day I will get to. Well now I am getting to them. I am happy to say that I have become a quilter and am practicing and practicing to become better. In addition I am able to spend time reading and gardening and cooking. I love to get in the Jeep with my Husband and explore all that Oregon has to offer on the main roads and the back roads. To quote a very popular T-Shirt "LIFE IS GOOD!"
