Marlene's Story
After Graduation I went to Towson State College. I was active in the Civil Rights movement. Graduated in "66". Got married in "66", two weeks after graduation. Was a Page at the 1964 Democratic Convention. Also "Sat-In" with the Mississippi Freedom
Delegation. My Husband worked for different colleges,so we moved 17 times in seven years. Was active at Colgate University in the Anti-war movement. In 1971 had darling daughter Marcy. She is now a High School Principal here in Howard County. In 19...Expand for more
73 had daughter Jenn. She is married and is the event planner to the National Redimix Concrete Asso. She travel all over the country, and lives in Montgomery county.She is has had twins.I AM NOW A GRANDMOTHER. The twins were born on Dec. 19th.
I have stayed active in advocacy.( Trying to get different legislation passed.) I have testified in Annapolis.
Now I have completed The Leadership Legacy Course at the U. of MD. Now I am a Senior Intern for a Member of the House of Delegates. I love it.
