Marlene's Story
My name is Marlene McGuire and I graduated from Westminster High School in 1968, married for 23yrs and have 3 full grown grils. Now remarried and have 6 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter on the way in Sept.
I am from Algona, Iowa and have lived in Colorado for over 50 years. Been remarried for the last 13 yrs to a wonderful person. Went on the road with him for the last 8 1/2 yrs. Have seen a lot of country that I would never of gotten a chance to see if I had not meet him. I do live Country Music, dancing, family get togethers,, movies action packed.
Love traveling and love babysitting those grandkids. Crocheting is my pass time for to donate baby blankets to young families who are struggling a nd don't have much for their babies. If there are other places that I can donate I will be doing that also.
Now my husband has retired from being a Over the road truck driver of 43 yrs, now has decided it was time to move somewhere it will be warmer for him during the winter months. cold. Now we have sold our place and now down in Florida waiting to get into our home we just purchased. Love those 5th wheel campers while waiting to get to another place. They just do the job of a small home. They work well. We are looking for our children to come down with the grandkids so we can take them to Disneyworld and enjoy all that Florida has to offer. We just love it here. No snow, just rain and it does get cooler here so that is nice. Want to have the grandkids to come and stay with us so we can spend time with them and take them places that they will always remember. Those times they will remember what they did with Grandma and grandpa I know I will. We will play snowbird in the summer time to go back to Denver so we can spend time with friends whom we haven't seen in months and there are a few family members still there. I think that my life has been pretty full since I remarried and have found God back in my life and better than before. He was always there but got to go back to church and found it to be the best thing that we did. Those families in the church are just awesome...Couldn't be any better than right now.
