Marlene's Story
October, 2015...so, I need to up date.
I am a native of Orange, but left the Orange area in 1962. I started my work career at Sabine River Works In 1954 and worked there almost 7 years. I moved to Dallas where I lived for 4 years and worked for the Dallas Crime Lab. I then moved onto Houston (1966) where I have lived ever since. Houston has become home to me.
I was married to Bob Marsh for 9 years and have two children. A son and daughter who live in California, along
with my two wonderful grand daughters, Alexandria and Korynn. Allie will be 29 Christmas Eve.. Korynn 18 in Nov. from my son, Steve. Daughter does not have children. Alexandria has traveled all over the world, but has decided to live permanently in Florida.. has a GREAT job.. Korynn will be moving there also to attend college next summer.
I worked for 31 years.. the last 20 as an excutive secretary for Fluor Engineering and Construction Company.

I remarried in 1974 to John Harvey, who was the love of my life. John was a native of Indiana. Worked for 51 years as a pnumatic converying specialist. He worked in Europe several times and I always joined him at
the end of his assignments. Europe was interesting, but I always wanted ...Expand for more

John passed away in July of 2013, after battling a serious illness for over 10 years.,.After 2 years, I have come a long way from when John passed away..along with making the decision to stay in Katy.
Just me and oldest sis left in our family. She is in a home in Beaumont and I visit as often as I can. However,
she no longer knows me,,,, but she is 95.
John and I moved to Katy 10 years ago after he retired.. He spent the last 10 working years as a consultant.. I
didn't think he would ever retire.
I wish to say "hello" to everyone.. it has been a very long time since I have seen any of my class mates. The last
Reunion I attended was 45th. However, I attended the opening of the Memorial of Lutcher High and the "Dorr" family has a plaque on the wall. All five of us attended the Orange High School system. I am the baby of the family.
My siblings are: LaVern Dorr Premeaux (now 95); L.C. Dorr (deceased); Barbra Dorr Mouton (deceased); Andrew "Tinker" Dorr (deceased),

P.S.. Seems I missed our Reunion October of 2014.. I had no idea it had happened.. However, I could not have made it. Hope those that did.. had a great time!
