Marlene's Story
Retired a year & a half after my husband died & moved to Costa Rica. Live in a small casa in a privately owned compound enclosed by an eight foot razor wire topped fence about 15 kilometers from the capital city of San Jose in the small town of Santa Ana.
No such thing as winter here- only 10 degrees north of the equator, Have two seasons one dry & the other wet. Dry season January - April, the rest of the year expect rain at least once a day.

country for at least 72 hours. Trips to Nicaragua, Guatemala, Bahamas, Panama. Have been to the rim of a volcano, walked thru ancient Mayan ruins, cruised from Miami to Nassau, took a boat ride halfway through the Panama Canal.
Struggling to master spanish, can shop at the local farmers market with a combination of language & pantomime.
