Marni's Story
Who am I really? Well, like my garden, it's an ever changing landscape filled with all kinds of surprises that pop up when you least expect them.
I enjoy my family thoroughly - the kids are wonderful little beings that are always teaching me something new and dragging me along on their never-ending ventures - sometimes i go willingly, other times i'd rather eat a bug.
Colin is 19 and has moved out on his own, doing his own thing. I am so proud of him! Kyle at 11 is a typical terror, wonderfully so, spending time tormenting his little sister between biking, guitar hero and basketball. Brylan is just girl, in turns being the sweetest thing and the bane of my existence. She is so fascinating to me - i could watch her for hours - the things she says, does, shares, her observances, she is fabulous for the soul. My children are my heart.

y to tell, i seem to float through, changing what i need to when needed. I work graveyard in retail, allowing me time to spend time with the kids during the day and do what we need to do.
My passion in life besides my children? Gardening! I can spend every day digging in dirt, playing with plants, designing gardens and water features.... and i literally have spent hours designing on paper when i couldn't be outside!
I have started kayaking again - bought two last spring and am planning on a lot more time this year to be out there on the water.
Saturday nights are open house here - my siblings and their families, my friends, the neighbors, we all hang out here, good food, good wine, a fire in the pit, it's a lot of fun. It's the best way to stay connected to the people that mean the most to me - my family and my friends (most of my friends ARE my family!).
