Marnie's Story

Well if anyone is interested... I work for E3Synergy in Owings Mills, MD they are a channel partner for a software company called Meridian Project Systems. They make a software for the AEC (Architects, Engineers and Construction) industry. I started working in the Construction industry to pay for school and I worked my way up to Assistant Project Manager and Project Manager. I left construction to go work for the software mfg. of Prolog Manager which I used in the field and saved tons of time and really liked. They hired me as a trainer. I traveled all over the world training Prolog Manager to AEC firms, big and small and saw some really great projects being built. I have trained and consulted with Bovis, Turner, JPL, Morrison Knudsen, and 1000's of others. I help companies standardize their documentation practices for their projects and manage their projects using technologies, like Sharepoint, websites and databases. I write training manuals and best practices manuals. I am currently writing all the manuals for MPS for the Prolog Manager software and new 2008 release. Now that is all very boring so let me tell you all the fun stuff. I live in Virginia Beach, VA and I have a wonderful daughter, her name is Evelyn June she will be 2 years old in July. The doctors told me it would be a 1 in a million chance to ever have a baby so, I was just cranking through life and never even thought I would have a beautiful family like I have. Evelyn is crazy awesome and of course I think she is brilliant. Cindy (Cindy K. now Allen) says she is beautiful. Cindy lives in Williamsburg about an hour from me. and her youngest daughter Julia (14) babysits Evelyn from time to time. Evelyn's dad is Aaron and he is the greatest man and best father. He takes care of Evelyn while I work and he is finishing up his degree. He goes to school onlin...Expand for more
e and will graduate in October with a degree in programming (video programs). He loves it and can't wait to be working in the industry. When I met Aaron I was living near Richmond, VA and he was a bio-med. Worked in the health care industry repairing medical equipment. He hated it, so he is now doing the video game thing. I told him he should do what he loves and now he is. Aaron will be 30 in June, yep that's right 30 and I'm loving it. Who would have thought I would ever have anything in common with Demi Moore. Tee Hee. ; P Aaron's family is all near by his mother is retired but opened a JW Tumbles gymn with Aaron's brother Ryan and they love it. Evelyn says Amma's gym. Kids find it fun and there is always something going on. My mom lives about 2 hours from me she moved to VA about 4-5 years ago and she travels back to CA all the time. My brother Mark is living near Palm Desert now and is married to Tandrea and has a son Darren. I moved from Northern California (Napa, Davis, Sacrament area) in 2002 to Richmond, VA to work on a project for a client and never left. It is so green and beautiful here. Cindy followed me with her awesome girls, she had 3 and I still get to see 2 of them. Her oldest is in Florida. Life is full of surprises and my daughter is a constant reminder that you never know what life is going to bring you. She keeps me very busy and I will consider it a success if we all make it to her 2nd birthday. As for travelling, we try to go to Aaron's family cottage at Lake Huron every other summer. Great grandma is there and it is loads of fun. Driving is an experience that Aaron really enjoys. I am only slightly crazier after our road trips. We like going on family trips to Hilton Head, the Blue Ridge Mountains, Savannah or wherever we end up. I hope everyone is great and life is treating you well!!!
