Marsha's Story
Life
My Spouse: Oh man....This is my second marriage, and I met him, of all places, on the Internet. I never thought that was possible, but he is a real sweetheart. We have been together for 10 years, and married for almost 9 years. I moved to Colorado, to be with him, and I love it here. My Pets: I used to breed birds, all kinds, but when I left Austin, I kept one...Dude, a Cherry-Headed Conure. In Irving I got a sweet African Grey, named Bo Bo. The two competed for who could make the most noise, so the Conure became the beloved friend of my Uncle. They are now both gone, but I hope they will keep each other company in a better place. My Grey also died about 8 years ago. I haven't had the heart to think of replacing them, but my Husband fills my heart. My Kids: My eldest, Hunter, is 29 and lives in Round Rock, TX. He is an Engineer at Applied Materials. My youngest, Austin, is 27, and lives in Irvin...Expand for more
g. He is a Journeyman Plumber. I also have one beautiful grand-daughter, Caitlyn, who lives in Irving. She will be 9 in Feb. 09'. I don't spoil her at all....ha ha ha. My Job: I am an RN, and now I am doing Triage Nursing. I assess, and give recommendations, education, etc., over the phone. In Texas, I worked at Baylor Irving (Irving Healthcare System) for 10 years; about 6 of those I managed the Ortho-Neuro Post-op Unit. Then went to the Baylor Plan, and worked 12's every Sat. and Sun. ....making the same amount of money. Loved it! Then I worked all over the hospital, but Neurology was my home floor. I worked ER quite a bit. (I was a Firefighter/EMT earlier in my life adventure.) I wrote a book, years ago, on "Gouldian Finches." I've written one children's book, and have attempted to start 2 or 3 novels. (Still trying.) I had one article I wrote about Firefighting. I've had my finger in many pots.
