I married the weekend (12 Jun 1976) after school was out to my first husband, John. I met him through the Sizemore's. We had one son between us. We divorced in April 1981. After being single again with a child, I told myself that I would marry someone older if I ever got married again. I worked for Plan Services (at the time was located on Dale Mabry) and a friend that I worked with Kathy Zuhn asked me to go out with her on a Friday night to a place outside the Dale Mabry gate of MacDill AFB (where they did the country line dancing). So I did, but I didn't know that she had someone that she wanted me to meet. So once I got there, she introduced me to my second husband, Jimmy who was in the Air Force and stationed at MacDill. We tried one dance and then we sat and talked for four hours. After that, we started dating the end of April 1982 As you can see, it took me a year to start dating again. But Jimmy and I got married on 8 June 1982 and we have been together ever since. In fact we just celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary. Which I asked Jimmy to marry me again and we actually got remarried at our home church (Shirley Hills Baptist Church, Warner Robins, Georgia) on 8 June 2007. It was great. I had my Mom there and we had several family and friends to celebrate with us. Jimmy retired from the Air Force in July 1983 and in August 1983 we moved to Athens, Georgia closer to Jimmy's parents.
