Marsha's Story
Actually, I graduated in January, 1964 (mid-term), so it's hard to say if I fit with the '63 or '64 class. I dated Leon Oates ('63) in high school and married him in August, 1965. Three years or so later we had a beautiful daughter, Robbie, but our marriage ended in divorce after 18 years.
I then met and married my current husband, Tim Evans, who is a Clark Gable look-alike. He had a 10 year old daughter, Kourtney, who lived with us until after she graduated from high school. Tim and I have been married 24 years. We live in Spring (I have done so for 35 years) and both girls graduated from Spring High.
Robbie then graduated from Texas A&M (Whoop!) with a degree in AgriBusiness. She has been married 3 years, and she and her husband now live in Brookshire, TX raising and training Eventing horses, numerous dogs, and have a White Tail Deer operation licensed by the State. Kourtney, now 34, has given us two beautiful granddaughters. Audrey is 22 months, and Eva is 4 months.
I am the Office Manager (23 years) for a small business near the Woodlands. Since 1992, Tim and I spend our weekends at our cattle ranch near Normangee, Texas, (NW of Madisonville) where we have about 80-90 head of breeding stock, plus lots of calves.
Busy, busy, busy all the time, but it's rewarding, hard work. I think it keeps us young. I could go on and on, but this is a general overview.
I haven't kept in touch with anyone from Reagan. The last reunion I went to was the 20th or 25th, I think. Not much of a turnout and I only saw a couple of people that I knew, but like I said in the beginning...it's hard to know which class fits me best.
I'm not much on posting pictures, but will see if I can find a few decent ones sometime soon.
