Marsha's Story

Recently retired after 34+ years working for the United States Postal Service. I care for my Mother, ranch, 14 grandkids, and grade papers for one of my daughters. What spare time I have after all that is spent either reading, crocheting, sewing, or gardening. I try and attend whatever sports programs my grandkids are involved in and that can get pretty hectic when baseball, softball, soccer, and football are going on. I've even had to learn how to irrigate 60 plus acres and run a wood splitter this year as my brothe...Expand for more
r sort of bailed. My oldest daughter and her oldest son have helped enormously. It's great to have grandkids! Almost everything I do except for reading is a big change from high school days. I've helped kids and grandkids raise steers, sheep, pigmy goats, and pigs for 4-H. Until the last couple of years we even had family gatherings to brand, vaccinate, and cut calves. Everyone at work used to tease me about being a farm girl and I guess that they are right because I have a hard time picturing myself back in a town setting.
