MARTA's Story
I've worked in the creativity field since high school. I headed up advertising for corporations in in 3 states and founded a nature-based 'center for creative change' called "Angel House' in Strongsville in the 1997. In 2003, I moved to Sarasota, FL and lived there for 20 years. I sold my house 8/31/2023 and returned to Ohio and moved to a condo in Lakewood, OH. Over the years I earned a BA in Human Development, a Master of Science in Teaching for Creativity, and a PhD in Humanistic Psychology. I developed a course called: "Creative Process: Awakening Creative Potential for Personal and Professonal Growth" and taught it to adult students at 3 Eckerd College locations (Sarasota, St....Expand for more
Petersburg, and Tampa, FL). I love being back in Ohio and having a view of Lake Erie! My joys are helping adults build creative confidence while encouraging/inspiring/awakening human creativity across the lifespan. I also love walks at the zoo and in the MetroParks, Latin dancing (from bachata, cumbia, salsa, chacha to zumba), journaling, sharing inspiration and being a creativity catalyst. My doctoral research brought forward the first explicitly human definition of creativity and it was adopted for use with United Nation's World Creativity and Innovation Day/Week/Year events around the world. I'm looking forward to reconnecting with old friends as well as making new connections.
