Martha's Story
Life
From humble beginnings in Madison WI, I am now living in Mystery Bay, WA on a 43' wood trawler (designed by Edwin Monk, Sr & built in 63) with my husband Larry & my mini schnauzer Boo. We are enjoying the life of newly retired from 9-5 jobs & beginning to make our way into the life of itinerant crafters in leather, textiles & knives. August, 2005....back in Mystery Bay, Washington. It's good to be back home again. We had a great adventure in AK, but are now back, enjoying the rest of the summer. Workplace
I started out working as a houseparent in group homes for developmentally disabled, which segued neatly into being a financial worker for welfare; first in Wisconsin, & then into Washington state. I quit work in April, 2004 & traveled with my husband Larry, my dog Boo (mini schnauzer) & my liveaboard boat (MV Pelican Point, a 43' Ed Monk Sr design trawler) up the Inside Passage to Alaska. We returned to the Port Townsend, WA area at the end of July, 05 are currently working on building our internet business selling leather crafts, textile crafts, & knives.
