Martha's Story

After graduation, I moved to Phila, Pa to work for Internal Revenue Service. One year later, I moved again to Camden, NJ and lived there for twenty-nine years. During that time, I change jobs and began working for Social Security Administration. Fifteen years later, I resigned from that job to raise my children. In 1982, my husband of fifteen years died as a results of a horrific car accident. His death left me to raise three small children, ages 12, 11, and six-weeks old. During my grief recovery, I began my writing career. In August 1995, I relocated my entire family to Marietta, Georgia, and lived there for five years while my two oldest daughters were in college. My youngest daughter was still in high school. I enrolled in culinary arts school and worked in my home-based business as a caterer. My real ...Expand for more
love was writing, so I enrolled in a freelance writing course and received my certification in that field. After my daughters finished college, I moved again for the last time, I hope. By this time, my youngest daughter had begun her college experience. So, in July, 2000, my family packed up and moved to Charlotte, NC. On June 8, 2006, I published a book entitled Strong Child and used my pseudo name-Marietta G. Cobb and I'm still working on other new novels. I thank God each morning for letting me see my children grow into their own. I know their father would be so proud of them. All my daughters are college grads and I am a grandmother at last!! My new novel entitled Devil's Workshop by Marietta G. Cobb was released on 9-17-10. Hope everyone gets an opportunity to read my first suspense-filled thriller.
