Martha's Story
After graduating from AHS I took the bus to California to stay with my aunt and uncle in Lakewood. I got a job as a secretary at McDonald Douglas in Long Beach. After a few months got my own apartment with a co-worker.
My parents and siblings were on vacation in California and I got very homesick and decided to go back to New Mexico with them.
I got married to my husband Dan who was stationed at Kirtland AFB at the time. My oldest is now 41 and married with no children. My next is 31 and is married to a sweet girl from Japan, they have no children. Another son is 22 and unmarried and is currently attending college. My only girl is ...Expand for more
now 20 and her second home is the mall! I also have a wonderful stepson who is married to a very smart and caring person. I have two granddaughters Lauren & Erin. They are so precious! They live out of state so it is difficult to see them often.
I really never had a so-called career-just had different jobs mainly as a data entry operator. I am now retired and I have many hobbies one of them being genealogy.
A little about my school years-I grew up in the San Jose area and attended St Francis, San Jose Catholic, San Jose Elementary, Lincoln JH, and AHS. If any one has class pictures from any of these schools and would like to share?
