Martha's Story
Life
I was married briefly, teenage marriage got a divorce. Second marriage has lasted 34 years. I have a son 35 years old and a grandson 15 years old. Hey staying married hasn't been easy but it has been rewarding. There's nothing more important to me than family. My marriage is the link that keeps our immediate families connected if not in tact. We own a pomeranian we named Foxy and a wire-haired fox terrier named DJ. We have a nice small home with an extra large backyard which is very important to us. We love to BBQ...Expand for more
and even camp out in the backyard or just sleep on the lawn furniture during the summer.
Workplace
I started out working in the fields,picking fruits. I got my GED. Attended Community College. I worked in the school system as a Teacher's Aide for 8 years, 8 years in Head Start as a Community Worker, painted doll faces in a doll shop for 8 years, 8 years as an Eligibility Worker for the Welfare Department and 4 years working one on one with a Down Syndrome child.I completed my Associates Degree in Child Developement.
