Martha's Story
Life
After highschool, I worked in Cambridge MA, in Accounts Payable, for one year and then worked at the VA Hospital in Bedford, MA, as a Stenographer for three years. After I married Ed Tighe (A Keith Academy 1957 Grad), I stayed home for 21 years and brought up our two daughters.I did lots of volunteer work during that time. I returned to work at 42 - (got into a Training Program) working full time as a Configuration/Data/International Manager and a Foreign Disclosure Manager and in the process doing some Logistics and Test for the Department of Defense at Hanscom AFB. I worked programs that involved all of the Services. I retired three years ago. as finished with school)! I got to travel all over the US and to 10 European Countries and also to Egypt. It was very rewarding and enjoyable. Ed passed away 13 years ago from colon cancer, but fortunately, while he was alive, we traveled a great deal and enjoyed life. I have a grand-son, Edward, who is 27 (Special Needs child, who has taught me what life is really about) and two grand-dtrs, Ashlyn and Brittany who are both 22 (not twins) born two weeks apart to each of my dtrs. I keep busy with, yes more travel, my family, cribbage, reading, gambling (love playing Poker),music (love music - especially the "old stuff") lots of laughing, making restaurant reservations (cooking not so much anymore), going to a local Golf Club and my wonderful circle of friends .I would love to hear from you Classmates.
