Martha's Story
After high school I went to Ricks College in Rexburg. I daho. I was there for 2 years and earned an associate degree in Elementery Education. I could not afford to go to a 4 year University so I decided to attend Blue mountain Community College in Pendleton and took classes in Accounting. While I was there I meant my husband Fredrick J Pack Jr. We got married Oct.3,1974 and moved to Hermiston, Oregon for 2 years and then bought a house in Umatilla Oregon.. Fred Drives feeder-trucks, for UPS. . He currently is driving the big trucks with 3 trailers from Hermiston to Farewell Bend Oregon. Monday thru Friday.. We have been married for 36 years and have 5 children. We have 4 daughters and 1 son. Kristina is 33 and is married and has 4 children. ed to Mark Cliff and has 2 children, Krista 11, and Alicia is 8. Our daughter Laurie is married to Nick Akers and they have 2 daughters Jordan will soon be 9 and Sahara is 6. Our son Rick Is marrried fo Monica and they have one daughter 9 monthes old. Our youngest daughter Jenny graduated from College,July 2009 with a bachelors degree with a major in English-creative writing and a minor in Psycology. I was happy to be a stay at home Mom for most of our married life. I went back to college at Blue Mountain for a year when my kids were in High School and some older and received a one year technical degree in Accounting.Instead of getting a job as an accountant I worked at Good Shepherd Hospital for 5 yeas in Enviromentsl services. I had to retired after 5 years and have had two knee replacements. My knees are doing great and I enjoy being a homemaker and a Grandmother.
