Martha's Story
Does anyone really know? We are constantly learning and changing.
I have moved back and forth across the country a number of times, living in California, Texas, and Kansas as well as New York. But I fell in .love with he North Coast of California when I was here during late 70's and early 80's, and returned here in '02. The proximity of the ocean, and the redwoods--this is God's country!
The ocean is 5 minutes from my house. And yes, we have earthquakes--lol--but unlike other natural events, there is no earthquake season!
I went back to nursing school when my youngest went to kindergarten. With six kids, being a single, divorced mom, it was quite an undertaking, but we all got through it. I worked mostly for the state of NY, but also in Texas and California. I am retired since 2000, now volunteer at my local hospital.

I have been on my own the past 25 years- my kids--lol--and grandkids--are grown, and the great grands increasing rapidly--though they are scattered all over the country.
I have a house full of plants, two cats (one of which thinks he is a dog), I have recently published a book about my cats, "Stop, Jake, Stop!!", which is available on Amazon, and has been given 5* reviews.
My youngest grandchild is in the Army, serving in South Korea.
Beside the hospital, I am active in my church, and write a weekly column in our local paper, the Del Norte Triplicate. I am also currently working on a book about Mary Magdalene, a novel, but one with a much different perspective than Dan Brown's
Time goes on, and the things that happen continue to mold us into the person we are constantly becoming.
I am no longer the mouse I used to be,
