I went to Memphis State from '88 until '92 then quit due to an injury. I got so caught up with work that I took a 7 year hiatus from school. I went to State Tech for a couple of years but got married and moved to England (my husband is British) before I finished my degree. I met my husband; Dan, in an old fashioned chat room in 1998. We communicated for about two years before we met face-to-face. I finally decided he wasn't the axe murderer my mom thought he might be and flew to England to meet him in Dec. of 2000. We hit it off immediately. We had planned to spend the holiday season with his mother in Reepham, UK. I had spoken with her on several occasions via telephone but sadly never had the opportunity to meet her face-to-face. She passed away the day after I arrived in England. This was a terrible time for Dan and actually drew us close to one another. We really got the opportunity to see the kind of person the other one was due to this tragic event.
