Martin's Story

Life I went to school at UNT in Denton, TX and studied Philosophy. I bartended for a few years, then I got a job with FEMA in 1991. I worked FEMA for around 5 years and then got a false positive for leukemia. So, I freaked out and quit and traveled around the European & Western World for a year. Then, I came back to Texas, got another job with FEMA and I bought a house. I traveled Europe, Mexico, and Costa Rico some more and life was stable and steady for several years. Then Katrina hit, so I traveled for FEMA for almost two years doing field disaster work. Disaster work / FEMA ...Expand for more
has been a big part of my life for the last 16 years. Now, I have a new (not 90% travel) FEMA job back in Denton, TX... again. I'm still not married and have no kids yet, but that will change someday. Life is about choices. I still keep up with Jason Reeves - he's in London and Eric Taylor - he's in DFW. I wonder what happened to Jason Davis, Darren Rachelle, Scott Crabtree, and Scott Landrum (my old neigbors) and Diane Brown. I hope life is at least as sweet for you as it is for me. I am planning to attend the reunion in Octobre, maybe I'll see you there. Peace out, MB2
